I earned my master’s degree in Psychology in 2005. Over the past 21 years, I have had the honor of sitting with people through some of their hardest, most uncertain times as well as some of their most meaningful moments.

During my internship at a university counseling center, I discovered how rewarding it was to support young adults as they navigated a time of tremendous growth—healing from past experiences, discovering passions, developing a stronger sense of identity, and beginning to shape the life they wanted for themselves. That experience helped shape my appreciation for supporting people during periods of change, self-discovery, and growth throughout life.

Over the course of my career, I have also had the opportunity to work with:

• Children and families- many of whom were involved in foster care and adoption programs

• Older adults in an outpatient group setting

• Military-connected individuals- beginning in 2009

My work with military-connected individuals has been especially meaningful to me. As a prior military dependent myself, I have personal understanding of some of the unique experiences that can accompany military life. Moving, adapting to frequent change, navigating new communities, and finding a sense of belonging can shape us in ways that aren’t always easy to explain. I have valued the opportunity to support others who were navigating experiences that were once familiar to me.

Most recently, my career came full circle when I returned to the university counseling center where I completed my internship. During my eight years there, I provided counseling and crisis services and supervised master’s-level counselors in training. Now, I am excited to bring the experience I have gained throughout my career into private practice.

I believe that feeling safe, understood, and accepted is essential to meaningful therapy. My hope is that you can come to our sessions as your authentic self, wherever you are in your journey, and that together we can explore what you need and where you want to go from here.
